Apple has recently been granted a patent from the US Patent and Trademark Office suggesting future MacBooks could have in-built phone hardware allowing a mobile broadband connection. This would be enabled by placing LTE hardware into the notebook computers and using the casing as antenna which are designed to work with radio frequencies.
